BROADWAY

This $48 million project focused on the replacement of aged Water Mains, Sewer Mains, Street Lights, Traffic Signals, Underground Utility Facilities, and New Roadway Construction with Sidewalks and Curbs from Ann to Rector Streets. NYCDDC managed this project on behalf of NYCDEP and utility operators.

Work Completed Includes

- Mass excavation to remove abandoned facilities, create space for new roadway,           utility access and relocation, and replace and relocate conduits

- Installation of chambers, gas mains, steam lines, ect.

- Replacement of 12' and 20' water main

- Rehabilitation of existing sewer main

- Replacement of curbs, sidewalks, fire alarms, street lights, and traffic signals

- Removal of trolley tracks

- Roadway restoration
