

WATER STREET - BROOKLYN
This $24 million project focused on the reconstruction of Combined Sewers on Water Street in the historic Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass (DUMBO) district in Downtown Brooklyn extends beneath local streets from the Brooklyn to the Manhattan bridges. This was formerly a manufacturing area that has been transformed into an urban neighborhood.

Work Completed Includes:
- Reconstruction and improvement of water supply sewer facilities
- Installation of steel trunk water main
- Installation of distribution main and fire hydrants
- Installation of ADA compliant pedestrian ramps and sidewalks
- Installing timber and CFA piles
- Removing existing utilities and tunnel crossings, installing new utilities
- Relocating fire alarm lines
- Removing trolley tracks
- Roadway Restoration, lighting, traffic signals, and tree mitigation
