

BROOKLYN MARINE TERMINAL
This $50 million project focused on the reconstruction of the South Brooklyn Marine Terminal to prepare for an increase of usage in the future. This project consisted of four separate construction contracts. One critical issue was the removal of contaminated soil for the S-Curve project.

Work Completed Includes:
- Infrastructure improvements to the electric substations, lighting, and fiber-optics
- Demolition and upgrading of the J-Building along with site paving and drainage
- Rail extension to Sims property, including 6,500 LF of new railroad track
- Rehabilitation of the main track at West Brooklyn Army Terminal, including 8,000 LF of railroad tracks and side pavement
- S-Curve elimination and railway reconstruction, including 5,000 LF of railroad tracks and turnouts
- Replacement of 12 in. and 20 in. water main, 12 in. DIP combined sewer, 30 in to 48 in. DIP high-level storm sewer, and 10,000 CY of contaminated soil
